It’s Hospice Care Week all this week (9-15 October) and we’d love you to get involved! Each year we join Hospice UK and other local hospices for a week of celebration and action. It’s a chance for us to reflect on the difference hospice care makes to people’s lives and to thank everyone involved in making it possible.
The theme this year is ‘We are hospice care’ and we will be using the week to shine a spotlight on the amazing individuals helping us to provide expert, compassionate and free care to people with terminal or life-shortening illnesses.
From our nursing care staff, our volunteers, our trustees and our supporters, we couldn’t provide the vital, compassionate care we do without their expertise and dedication – and your support.
Please support Hospice Care Week by:
- Getting in touch about volunteering with us by calling our main office on 01434 600 388
- Making a donation. Every pound donated makes a different to providing our vital care – a £20 donation will provide one hour of palliative nursing care to someone who needs it in a place of their choosing. Visit www.tynedalehospice.com/donate/
- Getting involved on social media by sharing our posts and using the hashtag #WeAreHospiceCare
A huge thank you from everyone at Tynedale Hospice at Home for all you do to get involved and support our work.
Keep up with our news about the many faces of our hospice care as the week unfolds by following our stories on Facebook and Twitter.
