One to One Sessions

Face to face appointments with a counsellor or family support practitioner
We all respond to grief in a unique way. Seeking help and support can be a lifeline for some people while others take comfort knowing their feelings are normal.

Whether the death of a loved one is sudden or expected it’s a shattering experience. We’re here to help adults and children cope and restore hope for the future. We have a wealth of experience dealing with the feelings that arise from all sorts of loss whether an accident or suicide, cancer or heart attack. What this makes clear is that while often people travel through similar stages of grief, everyone deals with their feelings differently.

Our one-to-one sessions are tailored to each individual. We’ll use counselling techniques and active listening to work through feelings that arise from a bereavement.

Sessions are held in a comfortable meeting room at our Hexham HQ and we also see people at their local GP for example in Burn Brae, Haydon Bridge and White medical in Ponteland.

All sessions are free, funded through charitable donations. People tend to need between one and six sessions on average but there is no limit. We work with you until you feel stronger.

Donate today to help someone cope with grief and restore hope for the future.
