Diana Gilbertson took part in a trek to Nepal last November in memory of her beloved Mum Gillian who sadly died on 8th November 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. Speaking about her challenge and why she chose to support the Hospice, Diana says: “I wanted to do something to remember Mum.
I chose Tynedale Hospice at Home because they were the only organisation in the area who offered the support and care which allowed Mum to fulfil her wishes and come home from hospital. The nurses who cared for Mum were so friendly and their support made it easier for all of us. Being able to raise funds which will allow other families to benefit from this amazing care will mean so much to me.”
Diana will be took part in a 5 day trek through Nepal which taking her to altitudes of 3400m through breath-taking landscapes. She to raised over £3,500 for the Hospice.
