Christmas Tree Collection

Recycle your Christmas tree and enjoy a real tree with no fuss this festive season

Recycling Your Christmas Tree

Forget the trail of pine needles through the house and the annual family debate of what to do with your Christmas tree – register your tree for the Tynedale Hospice at Home Christmas Tree Collection! Just type in your postcode and follow the instructions to register your real tree.

In return for a donation to the Hospice, our team of friendly volunteers will collect your tree and sustainably recycle it, saving you the mess and hassle of disposal.

This year, registrations open on the 15th of November 2026 for the following postcodes NE49, NE47 6, NE47 7, NE46 1-4, NE41-NE45, NE20 and NE18, with collections starting on Monday the 11th of January 2027.

Our Christmas Tree collection is in partnership with The Hextol Foundation.

Based in Hexham, the Hextol Foundation creates working opportunities for people with learning difficulties, mental health problems or both.

Of the money raised through our Christmas, 70% of monies raised will go to Tynedale Hospice at Home and 15% will go to The Hextol Foundation. The remaining 15% goes to our charity partner JustHelping, to help cover the costs of putting on the collections.
