Can you raise some ‘dough’ for Tynedale Hospice?

Who needs a new series of the Great British Bake Off when our very own annual fundraising campaign, The Big Tynedale Bake, is back – even bigger than last year and hoping to raise lots of ‘dough’ to support our services.

Last year hundreds of people across our area donned their pinnies and baked, kneaded and whisked their way through July, producing hundreds of iced buns, cakes and tray bakes, to raise an incredible £5,600 to support our vital services.  This year we’re hoping to smash that total, aiming to raise over £10,000.

Tynedale Hospice at Homes community fundraiser, Cathy Bates, said: “The increasing popularity of baking shows proves that we’re a nation that either loves to bake or loves to eat baking!  We were overwhelmed by the response to last year’s Big Bake and we want to build on people’s enthusiasm and make this year’s even bigger and better.”

Whether you’re part of a community group, school, local business, or an individual wanting to host something for friends and family, we’d love you to get involved.  We can supply you with our Big Tynedale Bake Fundraising Pack which includes everything you need to host a great event.

Every penny raised will help support our vital services. So why not host a get together with friends and family and host an afternoon tea, bake sale or even host a garden party and sell cakes.  There are so many ways you can help us raise lots of dough!
