We’re just days away from our first Light up a Life Service of 2018 and we’d love to see you there.

Light up a Life provides an opportunity for people to remember loved ones in the run to Christmas by making a donation in their memory and by attending one of our special Light up a Life services.  This year we are hosting three services and everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of whether you have a connection to Tynedale Hospice at Home.

The services take place on:

Saturday, 1 December at 3pm at Hexham Abbey
Tuesday, 4 December at 6pm at Prudhoe Methodist Church
Saturday, 8 December at 3pm at St Mary’s Church, Ponteland

This year’s Light up a Life service at Hexham Abbey will be especially poignant for Brenda and Barry who will be remembering their mum Betty who died in July and their dad and brother who died some years ago.

“It will be a very poignant service for us. Although the pain of losing someone special never goes away, it’s an opportunity to take some time out and have a quiet moment to reflect about our family and think about them and all that they meant to us. It sounds strange but I think in some ways it will feel like we are all together again, just for that moment.”
