Become one of our Business Ambassador’s

How does the Tynedale Business Ambassador Programme work?

If you are a business looking to make a difference in your local community and you’re keen to show that you support your local Hospice then you can become a member of our programme for a donation of just £35. This could be made as a donation or by filling one of our collection cans during your first month of support.

By signing up to become a Business Ambassador we will:

  • List your business on our website.
  • Provide you with a fundraising ideas pack and a dedicated account manager.
  • Give you a coin collection point on your premises (collection can).
  • Give you a poster stating that your business is an Ambassador.
  • Help you find volunteers and additional support you may need for events or fundraising activities.
  • We’ll help you to introduce Payroll Giving for your staff if they’d like to donate regularly (we suggest £5 each per month from their wages and salaries).
  • You’ll be invited to our annual Ambassador’s Reception and other networking events.

It is then up to you and your business as to how you support Tynedale Hospice at Home in the future. We have 3 further levels of sponsorship which can be reached based on the amount your business donates/fundraises for the Hospice and each level opens up additional benefits to you.

Life List: Do Something Great

Encouraging your staff to get involved in challenges for the Hospice can be a great tool for boosting staff morale, building enthusiasm and bringing the team together.

We have a range of ideas to choose from including the Great North Run, Run Kielder, the Great North Swim and walking challenges.

Get involved in the Big Tynedale Bake

Are you the next Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood? Does your workplace love an excuse to enjoy cake? If so then now it’s your chance to raise some ‘dough’ for Tynedale Hospice by hosting your very own Big Bake event at work.

This could be a bake-off competition or you could host a cake sale once a week or month, inviting staff to bring in their delicious treats in return for a donation. If you can spare a little more time, then why not stage your very own coffee morning or afternoon tea? It could be a great way to get to know your colleagues and clients or customers. We have lots of fun resources to help you make the most of your Big Bake.

Would you like to sponsor one of our campaigns or an element of our service?

Are you keen to show the community that your business is actively supporting a local charity? Do you want to benefit from positive publicity and awareness amongst our supporters?

Sponsoring one of our Hospice events or activities can help align your brand to our Hospice and we can offer you tailored support and PR.

We have a range of events and activities that you could sponsor including our annual Light up a Life campaign, the Spring and Christmas raffle or even an element of our services.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving (or Give as your Earn) is a great way to support Tynedale Hospice and it also costs you less! By making a regular tax-free donation directly from your salary every month you will be helping to make a difference to the lives of those in your community and as the donation is taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p, or 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer.

Display one of our collection tins

Did you know that donations from collection tins help to raise more than £5000 for the Hospice each year? They are also a great way to help raise awareness about what we do in the community and show others that you are supporting us.

Those little tins really do add up and they cost nothing for you to display. To request your tin please call 01434 606 444. We can deliver them to you and we’ll check and replace them regularly.

Give a home to one of our friendly Pen Pals

Could your business give a home to our colourful giraffe pens (Pen Pals)? They are just £1 each and come in a box ready for you display and there are 4 colours to choose from!

Closer to Christmas, make room for Santa and his cuddly friends. These cuties are £2 each and they make great stocking fillers.
