Salary: £16,000 – £19,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Working option: Full or part time considered. 12 month fixed term contract.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to provide an efficient and timely human resource and volunteer support service to our staff and volunteers. Applicants must have a good working knowledge of HR/volunteer administration, have experience of Microsoft software packages and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Car driver and access to a car essential.
Job description: Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for achieving all elements of the Job Description relating to HR and Volunteer requirements.
The focus of the role is to provide an effective, efficient and timely HR and Volunteer support service whilst ensuring the provision of professional administration and day to day co-ordination of both the HR and Volunteer requirements of the hospice staff and volunteers.
Key tasks include: Day to day HR and volunteer administration; coordinate the recruitment, DBS checking, training, induction and development of staff and volunteers; act as the first point of contact for all volunteer queries.
The applicant: The successful applicant will be a creative, original thinker experienced in providing a HR or Volunteer service preferably from within the charitable sector (although not essential) with a good working knowledge of HR/volunteer administration. We are looking for someone with the confidence to propose and implement original ideas in conjunction with previous experience of working with volunteers within a similar environment (including the coordination of volunteers to the areas required by THH). The ability to monitor budgets and experience of data analysis, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to explain complex issues in clear and concise language and the ability to develop effective on-going relationships with staff and volunteers are all essential requirements of the role. Educated to GCSE level including English Grade C or above, in addition to sharing our values; respect, dignity and professionalism, we encourage applications from anyone who can demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria in the Person Specification and who is a car driver with access to a car daily.
